Let’s Style your bed like a ..Property Stylist!

Considering we spend most of our time in our home on our beds, I think it’s only fair that we make them look presentable. Whether it be for display, or even just to sleep in, here are a few things that we do at Piller Property Styling to give our beds the most inviting look.

Pillow Talk

There is no right number when it comes to cushions and pillows. We usually suggest that the bigger the bed the more pillows and cushions you can use. For a queen bed, we recommend 2 European pillows, 4 Standard pillows and 2-3 Cushions. WE find that European pillow are essential to add height to the bed. Adding cushions is a great way to add a pop of colour and character to your bed.

Once you’ve stacked it all up, take a few steps back and begin the editing process IF needed.

Layer it up

Adding layers and textures to your bed is right on trend currently. Mix and match your linen. Nothing that adds comfort to a bedroom like beautiful linens. Invest in sheets that are with high thread counts of 350 or more.Adding a coverlet over your quilt cover will add an extra layer of comfort and depth to your bed.

Throw it on

Don’t forget the foot of your bed. A throw not only adds comfort and luxury to your bed but also adds the finishing touch. Our tip is to not have it folded neatly over the bed, but rather have it thrown on, casually draping over the bed.

Don’t forget the sides

Chose the right bedside table for you and your needs. If you keep a lot of accessories such as books, glasses and even lotion, you may want to find a bedside table with drawers. This will help keep you bedside neat and clutter out of sight. Next is to choose the right bedside lamp to go on it. When it comes to styling, if your lamps are in keeping with the rest of your bedroom’s theme, the colour and style are up to you.Along with your throw and cushions, your bedside lamps are another great accent that completes your bedroom.

Hope these tips help you create a bed that is super cosy, stylish and instagramable too!
